The problem is Boris’ blinkered London-centric obsession that the United Kingdom’s aviation needs to be focussed in the South East. arts of the UK are crying out for the kind of regeneration that an airport could provide. In other parts of the UK the environmental impact would be, less damaging. The Mayor is not tasked with these kind of decisions. This is a national issue and not part of his remit under the GLA Act.
